Nebula Chaos is a space opera inspired sci-fi tabletop role-playing game. It's a game of phasers, laser swords, jump portals, extraordinary aliens, space pirates, galactic marines, starship dog fights, and psionic monks. Pulling from pulp and epic sci-fi alike, it's intended to be your gateway to the stars; a fast-paced game of reckless abandon that throws all caution to the quasars. For everyone who's ready to quickly kick their tabletop campaign into hyperdrive, this one's for you.

While Nebula Chaos hosts a wide array of rules for planets, aliens, and factions, it can be easily adapted for just about any larger-than-life sci-fi epic you can think of. It can be about spice trade on a desert planet, exploring the stars on a mission of goodwill, bounty hunters in space, a rogue AI on a ship, or human attempts to stave off the threat of annihilation from giant bug-like aliens. It’s all about telling the stories you want to tell, giving you ideas for mechanics and flavor so that you can run the story that you and your players ultimately want to be a part of.

In the distant future, in a neighboring galaxy, the Thungrarian Empire has gained control of nearly every star system. Space piracy and smuggling are rampant, so long as outlaws can manage to stay one step ahead of the Thungrarian fascists and their laser-spitting starships.

There is hope, however! A group of planets at the outer sectors have formed The Star Alliance as a last ditch effort to stave off the looming threat of Thungrarian invasion. They’ve blocked off an important trade route for the Thungrarians and are actively recruiting in an effort to turn the tides of war against Carl, the Thungrarian Starlord, and his axis of peril.

The Voluspa is a large galaxy containing many strange life forms. Sinister aliens of unfathomable power wait in the darkness beyond the void until someone is foolish enough to awaken them. Humans and robots swap stories with the fish-like Merfolkrae, rub elbows with the laid-back Greys, and barter with the Slug Guys who are…well, they’re slug guys.

Where will our miscreant group of heroes land? Will they do the bidding of the despotic Thungrarian Empire, join ranks with the budding, baby-faced rebels of the Star Alliance, or carve their own path in this desperate age of galactic resistance and renegades? The choice is yours!
